The Newington Town Plan and Zoning Commission has adopted a new Plan of Conservation and Development for 2020-2030. The Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) is an advisory document used by the TPZ and other Town agencies to guide future growth and change in Newington; promote economic development; provide for affordable housing; protect natural resources that are important to residents; and identify facilities and services that are needed or wanted to support the community. All Connecticut towns are required to update their POCD every ten years by State law.”
