’Exercise the Right Choice’ is our after-school program for students in Kindergarten through Grade 4.

About the Program

We are excited about the return of our after-school program called Exercise the Right Choice. This will be a program offered for all Teacher Tuesdays at the Mortensen Community Center. This program will consist of three components; education, recreation and cultural arts. Exercise the Right Choice will provide safe, supervised activities for all of the Tuesdays when the students are dismissed early for the teacher’s professional learning days. Participants will also enjoy at least four unique programs run by special guests. These fun-filled days will surely encourage the students to want more. The cost is only $425.00 for all of the Teacher Tuesdays throughout the school year. Students will be transported to the Community Center at the end of the Teacher Tuesday. The hours of the program run from 1:45 to 5:30 PM. The program is limited in space. Registration is now being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis online and at the Newington Parks and Recreation office.
