Parks and Grounds (Seasonal)

The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting seasonal park staff for spring and summer employment. All applicants should be at least 18 years of age with a valid Connecticut driver’s license. They will be required to perform a variety of tasks which may include the use of hand tools, power equipment, such as string trimmers, leaf blowers and mowers, picking up litter and assisting in athletic field maintenance. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The salary range is from $10.25 to $15.00 per hour.

The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is also recruiting for part-time groundskeepers to work 19 hours per week from April to October as a cemetery worker or gardener. This position works Monday through Friday with flexible hours. The salary range is from $10.10 to $11.25 per hour.
