Effective Thursday, November 1st, the Newington Police Department will enforce the overnight parking ban throughout Newington.  The ordinance prohibits parking for more than thirty minutes between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. on any street.  This parking ban insures proper sanding and plowing operations and helps prevent accidents on snowy or icy roads.

Motorists requiring an exception from this ordinance due to an emergency situation are urged to contact the Newington Police Department at 860-666-8445, ext. 6114.  We urge the continued cooperation of all our resident and motorists.
