[ARCHIVED] Bowl-O-Rama Returns as Premier Sponsor for Holiday Laser Light Show at Newington’s Night of Lights

The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce that Bowl-O-Rama is once again stepping up as a generous sponsor for the highly anticipated Holiday Laser Light Show, taking place during the annual Night of Lights on Friday, December 5, 2025, in downtown Newington.

This marks the second time Bowl-O-Rama has partnered with the department for this spectacular event, after making the inaugural show possible in 2024. Their continued support highlights their strong commitment to the Newington community and helps bring this free dazzling experience back for families and visitors to enjoy.

Located on the Berlin Turnpike, Bowl-O-Rama has been a Newington icon for over sixty years, offering forty bowling lanes, a full restaurant and lounge, and an array of arcade games. With extended late-night hours, it's a local favorite for fun and entertainment. Lisa Callahan, Cindy Callahan and Amber Dodge were quick to recommit to this magical event, eager to support another unforgettable night in downtown Newington.

The Holiday Laser Light Show will once again transform Main Street with one million multi-colored laser lights, projected onto a 30-foot inflatable screen, enhanced by fog machines suspended 15 feet in the air while synchronized with festive holiday music. The result is a breathtaking visual spectacle that promises to light up the night like never before.

The festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. and run through 8:30 p.m., featuring carol performances by Creative Playtime Preschool, followed by student choral groups from Martin Kellogg, John Wallace, and Newington High School. As always, Santa Claus will make a grand entrance aboard one of four elaborately decorated firetrucks, helping to flip the switch on the downtown holiday lights with assistance from a lucky preschooler. Afterward, he'll hand out candy canes to the children while listening to their holiday requests.

"This event has truly evolved into something special for our town," said Bill DeMaio, Superintendent of Newington Parks and Recreation. "With amazing partners like Bowl-O-Rama returning to support us, we're able to deliver an evening full of joy, wonder, and community spirit. You won't want to miss it!"
