Newington Parks and Recreation Department Seeks Community-Minded Sponsors for the 2025 Night of Lights Holiday Special Event

 

       The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to offer local businesses and community organizations a unique opportunity to become sponsors of the much-anticipated 2025 Night of Lights special event, set to take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 6:00–8:30 p.m. This cherished celebration attracts over ten thousand people to downtown Newington, featuring a delightful lineup of festivities that embody the magic of the holiday season.


        The Night of Lights event showcases a broad range of entertainment, including hay and train rides, spirited carolers, an exciting videogame trailer, cozy s’mores, a dazzling tree lighting ceremony, an expert ice sculptor, fire jugglers, and the ever-popular Santa Claus, who will parade through the streets aboard a convoy of firetrucks.


        The Newington Parks and Recreation Department encourages civic-minded businesses and organizations to get involved through various sponsorship packages. Beginning at just $500.00, sponsors can embrace the holiday cheer while significantly boosting their brand’s visibility. This public/private collaboration presents exceptional promotional value, with media outreach valued in the tens of thousands of dollars.

 

  1. S’mores: $500.00
            Support the s’mores station around a warm fire pit, bringing smiles and a cozy treat to guests on a brisk December evening.
  2. Inflatable Winter Ball Toss: $500.00
            Challenge your throwing skills with this hands-on inflatable activity for all ages. Participants have thirty seconds to rack up points by landing a ball into winter-themed targets.
  3. Ice Sculptor: $600.00
            Watch a talented sculptor use a chainsaw to transform giant blocks of glistening ice into an elaborate holiday-themed creation.
  4. Chicken Flinger Game: $700.00
            Sponsor this uniquely entertaining game suitable for all ages. Step up and launch a rubber chicken using a foot pedal to hit a 6-foot by 6-foot canvas with a humorous chef target.
  5. Family Train or Hay Wagon Rides: $800.00 for one or $1,400.00 for both.
            Sponsor our family-friendly train or hay wagon rides through Market Square and enjoy the festive sights of downtown Newington.
  6. Monster Mural: $900.00
            Put your brand front and center by sponsoring a giant holiday-themed coloring mural that will be a creative hit with hundreds of families.
  7. Fire Jugglers: $1,200.00
            Sponsor the debut of this fire juggling show at the Night of Lights, where they’ll light up Main Street and dazzle crowds with fiery performances.
  8. Videogame Trailer: $1,200.00
            Associate your brand with high-energy fun by sponsoring the fan-favorite videogame trailer, featuring a variety of electronic games in a climate-controlled space.
  9. Big Daddy’s Racing: $1,500.00
            Be the sponsor of an exciting portable racetrack where families can race remote-controlled cars in a friendly competition.
  10. Laser Light Show: $7,000.00
            
    Have your company sponsor a display of laser lights shooting throughout fog-covered Main Street onto a thirty-foot-high inflatable screen. Backed with lively music, the laser light show is sure to put a smile on everyone’s face as they witness the array of vibrant colors flying through the night sky in downtown Newington.  

       Sponsorship of any of these attractions includes your logo featured in the 2026 Winter Program Guide, which is distributed as an insert in the Rare Reminder to all 13,500 Newington households. Additionally, sponsors will receive exposure via a Facebook Live video and exposure through WFSB Channel 3 reaching tens of thousands of people across the Greater Hartford area. Sponsorships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
