The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the brand-new handicap accessible Seymour Park playground, basketball court, pavilion, hopscotch, bike repair station, and four-square playing surface on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
The highlight of the day will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will commence promptly at 5:10 pm. This momentous occasion marks the culmination of our efforts to enhance our community's recreational facilities with greater accessibility and inclusivity.
We are excited to offer a variety of entertainment and activities for all ages, including:
- Magician
- Clowns and balloon animal making
- Basketball
- An inflatable Gaga Pit
- Four Square and Hopscotch
- Music
In addition, dinner will be served at 5:30 pm, provided by Elm Hill Pizza, to the first 100 individuals who register for the event on the Newington Parks and Recreation website.
