[ARCHIVED] PAY JULY TAXES NOW

Pay Taxes by Mail Graphic July 2020 PDF

The first installment for Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle taxes for taxpayers eligible for the deferred program shall become delinquent if not paid on or before October 1, 2020 (per Governor Lamont’s Executive Orders 7S & 7W with the exception of landlords, banks, and mortgage companies). Interest will be charged on October 2nd and accrues interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2020. There are no exceptions. Failure to receive a bill does not invalidate the tax or interest.

Due to COVID-19, the NEWINGTON TOWN HALL IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC so stay safe and pay by mail, online, or place payment (no cash) in silver drop box in the rear parking lot of the former Town Hall across from the Police Dept. The box is located in an island under a tree.  Please enclose your entire tax bill if a receipt is wanted as well as a self-addressed stamped envelope so a copy may be mailed to you.

If you did not receive a tax bill go to www.newingtonct.gov (on-line services) Tax Payment Information where you can look up and/or pay your taxes.  While the Town Hall is closed, staff is available by phone at 860 665-8540 for the Tax Office, or questions regarding changes for your business or cars can be made by contacting the Assessor’s Office at 860 665-8530. Office hours are Mon. – Fri. 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
