NEWINGTON SENIOR & DISABLED CENTER MEMBER & PARTICIPANT UPDATE – COVID-19

Dear Senior & Disabled Center Members & Participants,

As you know, the Coronavirus (COVID 19) is especially dangerous to older adults and people with chronic illnesses. To help minimize the spread and protect all of us, the Senior & Disabled Center will be closed to the public effective 4:30 p.m. today (March 13, 2020) except for essential social service appointments and pre-arranged meal pick up. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you as needed. In the meantime, please follow the CDC guidelines:

  • Stay at home as much as possible.
  • Make sure you have access to several weeks of medications, food, and supplies in case you need to stay home for prolonged periods of time.
  • When you go out in public, keep away from others who are sick, limit close contact, and wash your hands often.

If you have any needs, please contact us at 860-665-8778. Our staff will be here and ready to help. For COVID-19 updates and information please visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html.

Sincerely,

Dianne Stone, Director
