For the safety of our attendant and the safety of others we ask that all residents practice social distancing.  Please keep at least six feet apart and no loitering in the transfer station area.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Residents will still be able to obtain permits at the Highway Garage and the Town Clerk’s office.   We ask that residents call ahead to notify the office as the facilities are open by appointment only.  Please bring your license and registration of the vehicle you will be using to expedite the process..

Beginning April 4th the Town’s Landfill/Transfer Station hours will return to Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  All residents are required to obtain a valid landfill permit is order to dispose of vegetation at the facility. Permits may be obtained at the Town Highway Garage, 281 Milk Lane or the Town Clerk’s office located at the Town Hall, 131 Cedar St.  Residents are reminded leaves and grass are not allowed to be placed at the curbside or placed in the trash or recycling containers. Grass and leaves can be composted or disposed of at the Town Landfill/Transfer Station with proof of residency. Please contact the Sanitation Department with any questions (860)-667-5874.
