Reportedly 2760 individuals in Newington were impacted by delay in SNAP benefits distributed in November 2025. Benefits have been added back to SNAP cards. The Newington Human Services Department has received numerous donations through the generosity of this community. If you were negatively impacted by this pause in SNAP benefits please contact Newington Human Services at 860-665-8590 to schedule a brief appointment to be screened for possible assistance.
