Event Details:
9/24/2025, 6-7:30pm in the Arts & Crafts Room at Newington Senior & Disabled Center:
The Broken Bowl Project: The broken bowls project is based off of the Ancient Art of Kintsugi. The idea behind the bowl is that it represents the individual who made it. The reason a bowl is used is because a bowl can hold many different things, just as people can represent and have many different life experiences. The idea is for the person to then break the bowl and put it back together. The thought behind the broken bowl is that life can beat us down and change us, but we can still put ourselves together.
10/22/2025, 6-7:30pm in the Arts & Crafts Room at the Newington Senior & Disabled Center:
Hand-weaving Scarves: This activity, also known as finger knitting, is a simple form of knitting that uses only the fingers to create a knitted cord or fabric, instead of traditional knitting needles. It's a beginner-friendly craft that can be done with just yarn and your hands!
11/19/2025, 6-7:30pm in the Community Room at the Lucy Robbins Welles Library:
Dried Flowers Intention Jars: An intention jar, also known as a manifestation jar is a tool used for setting intentions or manifesting desires. It involves creating a physical representation of your goals by filling a jar with items that symbolize those intentions. This practice is often used as a way to focus energy and visualize desired outcomes.
Please let us know 24 hours in advance to the workshop date if you can't make it!!
