About the Records Division

Welcome to the Newington Police Department Records Division. Our Records Division handles all reports generated by the Police Department. Our purpose and goal is to provide 100% customer service to both our internal and external customers. The division does this by storing, retrieving, reproducing and delivering reports to all of our customers alike. Below you will find answers to commonly asked questions, the cost of reports, types of reports and directions to our office.  Please use the staff directory for hours and contact information.

Police Reports Request Procedure:

To request reports or footage from the NPD Records Division please use our record request form and provide the required information in the form. Your report will be emailed to you.  Please include as much information as you can.  It is important to list your case number, phone number, and email address.  Call 860-665-7331 with any questions.

Note: Please enter a full 10-digit case number on the website (ex. 2400001234). Hyphenated and/or abbreviated case numbers (ex. 24-1234) will yield negative results.  

Pistol Permit Fingerprinting:

Newington Police Department is using an outside vendor for Pistol Permit Applications. Click here for pistol permit fingerprinting services and related pistol permit information.  

Non-Pistol Permit Fingerprinting:

Fingerprinting services will be performed Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:30 pm by appointment only. Click here to schedule an appointment and pay a fingerprinting fee.
