Youth & Family Counseling

Short -term confidential counseling and referrals are provided to youth and families by skilled, credentialed professionals. Referrals are accepted from parents, youth, schools, clergy, police, courts and other social service agencies. 

Issues

Residents present issues in areas, such as depression and anxiety, trauma, school adjustment and behavior, substance mis-use, suicidal ideation, family conflict and reactions to death and divorce. 

Therapy 

Each family’s unique needs determines whether counselors will provide short term counseling through Human Services or connect the youth/family with several options for ongoing longer term therapy through a private provider. Groups are also offered on various issues such as grief, anxiety, behavioral changes, etc


Cost & Appointments

Available medical coverage through private insurance, HUSKY, and the ability to self-pay are explored in connecting with the appropriate provider. Short-term services through Human Services are available on a sliding scale fee. Appointments are available weekdays and evenings.
