    Adult summer reading registration will begin on Thursday, June 17. Registration will be online, by phone or with a printed form (upon request). Register on this day, June 17, for a chance to win the kickoff prize giveaway basket. Register yourself online, by phone with a print form (upon request) beginning June 17.Read or listen to the library books of your choice at your own pace. Receive one prize ticket for each book completed. Tickets will be available online; in the library you can call to have one submitted. Weekly drawings held on Friday. All weekly entries will be entered into the grand prize drawings which will be held on Friday, August 13. Winners will be notified. Registration required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.   1. Author Spotlight: Diane Young Rodney

    July 10, 2021, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Join us for the book release from Newington’s own Diane Young Rodney! She will be reading from her debut, Russell: The Kid Nobody Wants to Be Around, a children’s book which focuses on friendship and empathy. We will also have a Q&A session and a giveaway! This event will be outside on the library green near the lower Garfield Street parking lot. Please bring blankets or chairs for your family. If there is inclement weather, the rain date will be July 24. Books will be available for purchase. Registration required.
