October –23 – On Golden Pond (1981) with Henry Fonda Estranged from his daughter, Norman and his wife Ethel agree to care for Billy, the son of their daughter’s boyfriend, and an unexpected relationship blooms. Hepburn and Fonda won Oscars for their portrayals of the Thayers.

All types of books, including fiction and non-fiction, will be on sale as well as CDs, audiobooks, DVDs, videos, and specially priced items. Admission on Friday evening is $5 and free on Saturday. Buy a Friends book sale GREEN bag for $7 and fill it with books for free. Refills are $6. Stock up and save!

    Due to the generosity of the Sliva Family, Leslie Bulion will be coming to Newington on October 26. She is the author and illustrator of various fiction books as well as a series of science poetry books. Her newest, Leaf Litter Critters, will make you laugh, learn and say “ewwww”. Ms. Bulion will be speaking to all third and fourth graders at Newington High School in the morning and will be here to sign books. Books will be available for sale at the Library.
