Let's Get Growing in the Giving Garden!
Thursday, March 7, 6:30 p.m.

Are you interested in gardening? Come to the library and learn about the Newington Senior Center’s Giving Garden. It is operated by a dedicated team of volunteers! Topics will include seed starting, soil testing, growing in small spaces, and using grow bags. Presenters include Master Gardeners and a representative from the UCONN Cooperative Extension. Grow Bags will be available for purchase. Registration required.

Long-time commuter advocate, newspaper commentator, and former NBC News Anchor, Jim Cameron talks about Connecticut’s transportation crisis:  Crowded highways falling into a state of disrepair, Bridges considered deficient.  Metro-North trains running slower while fares increase. How did our state go from first to worst in transportation?  What does our future hold?  Registration required.
