Thursday, January 31
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.– 7:00 p.m.

Drop in between these hours or register online to receive a free gift and a chance to win the kickoff prize giveaway. Refreshments will be provided. Adults will earn a prize ticket for every book they read or listen to, which will be entered into the weekly drawings for special gifts. All tickets collected will be entered into the grand prize drawing to be held on Friday, March 9.

Resonant Winds Quintet

(Snow date February 24) 

The George G. Hanel Fine Arts Series kicks off the 80th Anniversary Celebration Series with a performance by Resonant Winds Quintet. Members explore the vast library of music that encompasses several genres from the Baroque period to contemporary that is written and arranged for the woodwind quintet. Newington welcomes Bristol, Connecticut’s most famous comedic son, author Mike Reiss! Mike has been writing for “The Simpsons” since Day One. Mike has won 4 Emmys, a Peabody Award, and a 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Animation Writers Caucus. Copies of “Springfield Confidential” will be available for purchase and signing.
