Even though core stabilization exercises have been used in martial arts, tai chi, yoga and Pilates for many years, core stabilization is now being seen in a new light because of its connection with low back pain. Please join us for a trip to the Greenwood Glass Blowing Studio in Riverton, CT.
We will have a tour of the facility and enjoy lunch at Sweet Peas, a local restaurant.
The Hitchcock Chair Co. is just a short walk away, should you wish to explore there. The cost of the bus trip, visit to the glassblower’s and lunch at Sweet Peas is included for $55.00 per person.  Registration required. Payment by cash or check is due at the time of registration.

5 k challenge

Newington Library 5K Challenge
Sunday May 20, 9:00 a.m. 

The 22nd running of this event will be held at Mill Pond Park. Runners will compete by age category with awards for the winning male and female runners within each division. Walkers are also welcome. Registration forms are available at the library, on the library’s website or you can register online at raceentry.com. Preregistration is $10 for children (12 & under) and $20 per adult. Same day registration is $10 for children (12 & under) and $25 per adult

BusTrip – Block Island

Enjoy a lovely day exploring Block Island!  A bus will take you from Newington to the Block Island Ferry where you will be transported to the Island.
