Grab & Go crafts
Each week in we will have crafts ready for pick up! There will be a craft for kids ages 1 - 6 that will coincide with one of our Digital Storytimes. Please note that supplies are limited. Parents may call to register beginning the Monday of that particular week to reserve a craft bag for pickup that week curbside.

Babies Love Art! – Virtual Monday, December 7
Parents, join us for a virtual program where we will teach you how to create stimulating art activities for your little one from the comfort of your own home! These art activities are geared for babies ages 6 months to 24 months. A video link will be available here beginning the day of the program.

Sew Simple with Miss Sarah - Virtual Tuesday, December 8
Join Miss Sarah for a virtual sewing class perfect for beginners and budding young tailors. Together you’ll go through all the steps to create your own hand sewn creations. This time we’ll learn how to make a snowman ornament. A video link and template will be available on the Kids events page.

Cookbook Club – Virtual Wednesday, December 16
Miss Beth has created a video cooking demo that you can do at home. We will make gluten-free chocolate mochi mug cake! Call to sign up for your recipe kit beginning Monday, December 7. Tales to Tails – Virtual Thursday, December 17, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Children who love dogs or need to boost their reading skills may sign up for a 10-minute session reading to Harper, a new canine friend. Call to register beginning December 3. Registrants will receive specific time slots on Zoom. Families are responsible for providing a book, but remember we offer curbside pickup if you need help!

Turning Pages – Virtual Wednesday, December 23, 11:00 a.m.
For ages 3 – 6. Do you have a ballet fan at home? Join a dance professional from Ballet Theatre Company for a movement-focused storytelling experience! Stories will come to life in ways that engage the whole body. Come on a storybook adventure featuring The Nutcracker this month! Registration required. Topic Totes
The Children’s Department is proud to debut their Topic Tote collection! Have a child who loves Frozen? Trucks? Bugs? Need some books to encourage potty training or bedtime? Totes with books focused on one topic will be available for circulation. Parents can check out up-to-date topic lists and information on the new Children’s Reading Recommendation webpage.
