Press Release

As the result of the ongoing global COV1D-19 pandemic and the continuing Declaration of Civil Preparedness Emergency in Newington, the Town Hall remains closed through June 15th. Therefore, all meetings will continue to be remote until at least June 15th.

Carol Labrecque, Human Services Director, is our appointed official and will be the receiver of complaints, in coordination with the Health Department and Police Department responding depending on the issue. Naturally, the Town Manager’s office will also receive and respond to complaints as deemed  appropriate. The Park Ranger program will continue in operation for the foreseeable future monitoring the Parks and School grounds.

The  playgrounds will remain off limits until our local Health Department declares these areas safe. The athletic fields can be accessed, with proper social distancing, however, no organized sports or sharing of equipment is allowed.
