Backyard Composting - Virtual
Wednesday, May 12, 2021
Join Tricia and Pete Halvordson, Master Gardeners and Composters from the UCONN Extension Center. Plants and gardens are healthier and more bountiful when rooted in fertile soil that provides an abundance of nutrients. Good soil is a function of several factors. These factors are influenced by location, soil composition and nutrients. Some ways that gardeners will supplement these factors are by providing adequate water, aerating the soil and adding nutrients. In this presentation they will discuss a way of providing nutrients.
These sessions will be followed with a live Q&A to discuss any questions about compost and gardening. Registration is required. Prior to the programs you will receive an invitation to the Zoom meeting. This program will also be available as a recorded program to view, after the live presentation.
