    Thursday, December 27 and Thursday, January 10, 2019, 10:00 a.m. Revisit and explore American history with this fun lecture series – without the final exam! Each month, Carnegie Mellon University professor Jared Day will present a different topic related to our nation’s history, presented over two classes. No commitment required, only sign up for the topics that interest you. The next topic to be discussed is “On the Frontiers of Empire: The French and Indian War, 1756-1763”, which examines what Winston Churchill considered the first global war. It involved the two most powerful European empires of the eighteenth century: Great Britain and France, and the outcome would determine the fate of North America, the course of native-European relations for generations to come. $5.00 fee covers both classes.
