In response to decrease in Newington's cases of COVID-19, the Town Manager as authorized a systematic, gradual reopening of town buildings to the public.As our COVID-19 positivity rates will likely continue to fluctuate, the re-opening of town buildings will be done in Phases. The purpose of this approach is to ensure continuity of services, with limited interruption and disturbance should we need to revert to or advance between Phases, as well as to ensure the ongoing health and safety of both the public and our employees.Meghan L. As of August 23, 2021, the Town of Newington will move to "Phase I/Red".
The following policies will be in place for all Town buildings, effective Monday, August 23, 2021.

For the week of June 1, 2021 the Town of Newington will move to "Phase IV/Gray". To find out more information please refer below to the Town of Newington Reopening Plan.
For the week of May 17, 2021 the town will continue in "Phase III Yellow". MASKS - Per the Town Manager: while the Governor plans to lift the State's mask requirement for vaccinated individuals on May 19th, local government will continue to require masks to be worn by all individuals while inside town buildings.
