The Lucy Robbins Welles Library building will be open to the public for the limited services on Monday, October 26. You can begin making appointments for the following week on Monday, October 19.
The following services will be available:
Collection browsing (30 minutes) for adult, teen & children’s departments
Checkout - We encourage you to use the self-checkouts, which will be regularly disinfected
Curbside service during designated times
Self-serve copier & FAX
Please note the following:
The total number of individuals (including library staff) permitted inside the library will be restricted.
Out of consideration for others, individuals/families will be given 30 minutes inside the library to browse and checkout their items. Appointments are given on the half hour. Please call 860-665-8700 to make an appointment for adult and teen departments and 860-665-8720 for the children's department.
Appointments can be made one week in advance.
Walk-ins are welcome on the half-hour, space permitting.
Proper mask wearing (covering the nose and mouth) will be required for all visitors over the age of 2.
Social distancing will be required, with a minimum of 6 feet
Materials must be returned to either of the two exterior book returns, rather than inside the building, so they may be quarantined for 3 days.

Study rooms & study carrels

Toys and computers in the Children’s Room
