September 11th Memorial

In 2011, the Newington Volunteer Fire Department was presented with a section of the World Trade Center. In 2016, the Department developed a permanent memorial to honor the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001 and to pay tribute to the countless individuals who were impacted by the tragedy, including fellow citizens of Newington, CT. The site also pays tribute to two fallen firefighters from our own Department, Francis Kochanowicz and Jay Cole. All are welcome and encouraged to visit the site.
