The Department of Senior and Disabled Services provides services
including, but not limited to the following :

• Information and Referral

• Transportation (including Dial-A-Ride and out of Town medical transportation)

• Nutrition (Daily Congregate meal and Meals on Wheels; Coffee Shop)

• Support Services

  • Social Casework and application assistance (ConnPACE, Medicare Part D, Renters Rebate, Energy Assistance, Title 19 etc.)

  • Friendly Shoppers and Friendly Visitors, Project Homeshare, Medical equipment loans

• Fitness and Wellness

  • Wellness clinic offering preventive screenings, counseling and referrals

  • Foot care, screenings including hearing, skin cancer, memory, depression

  • Fitness room, exercise classes

  • Seminars on a variety of health and wellness topics

  • Support groups including diabetes and weight loss

• Social and Special Interest (Clubs, parties etc.)

• Education (e.g. SeniorNet, Defensive Driving, Brain Fitness, Consumer Education, Lecture Series)

• Leisure and Recreation (Arts, crafts, games, movies, travel etc.)

• Facility Management
