 Book Buddies
Tuesdays, January 10 and 24, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

The National English Honor Society (NEHS) at Newington High School is sponsoring a Book Buddies Program for young children. The aim of the Book Buddies Program is to promote a love and appreciation for reading in young children. Children will have the opportunity to read books of their own choosing to high school students from NEHS. The themes for January are "Winter Wonderland" and "Colors." There will be crafts and snacks.  Jr. Cookbook Club
Wednesday, January 11, 6:30 p.m.  

Join us as we read Bread and Jam for Frances by Russell Hoban.  Then we will make “bread in a bag” to be baked at home.  Please call to register Junior Chefs in grades K-2.

COWABUNGA Dudes!  Children of all ages can help us kick off our tropical themed Winter Reading Program, Surf into Reading!  Join in the fun of making crafts, playing games and more!  A detailed flyer of the Winter Reading Program will be available December 1.

 Pajama Yoga
Tuesday, January 17, 7:00 p.m.

Namaste everyone!  That means peace.  Children ages 5-8 and their caregivers are invited to come to the Library in comfortable pajamas to have fun doing Yoga together.  Beth Agdish, a certified Next Generation Yoga for Kids instructor, will teach us techniques and traditional poses.  Mats will be provided to those who do not bring one.  Please call to register.
