NEWINGTON NOW COLLECTING SINGLE STREAM
What does single stream recycling mean for you?
Single stream recycling means you no longer have to sort glass, paper and metal within your blue bin. Simply mix everything together in the blue bin and it will be sorted once it is delivered to the receiving facility.
How does Newington benefit from single stream recycling?
Recyclables diverted from the waste stream lower the cost the town pays in disposal fees for MSW (household garbage). Recycling not only helps the environment, it also saves money.
