| Comprehensive Annual Financial Report  The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is the official statement of the Town's financial position on June 30, at the close of the fiscal year. It has three parts:
- Introductory Section - Listing of officials; brief history of Newington; statement of Town government values and responsibilities; organizational chart
- Asset Section - Management analysis; basic financial statements; required supplementary pension information; associated independent auditor's report
- Statistical Section - Comparative data, graphs and other information on taxes, revenues, expenditures, debt, socioeconomic data
