Inspections

Building Inspections

  • Residential
     
    New Single Family Homes - Minimum inspections include but are not limited to:
    footings and foundation walls after seal coating and installation of perimeter drains
    rough inspection after rough plumbing and electrical work has been inspected
    insulation final inspection after finish plumbing, electrical and fire inspections, if applicable.
     
    Additions & Alterations - Similar to above.
     
    Decks - Footings prior to the placement of concrete
    Completion of construction

Commercial - The inspection schedule shall be determined at the time of the issuance of the building permit.

Swimming Pools - Upon the completion of the installation and the installation of the permanent enclosure/fencing.

Requesting an Inspection - The request for an inspection is made at Building Inspector’s office between the hours of 8:00 A. M. and 4:30 P. M., Monday through Friday. A notice of 24 hours in advance of the inspection is required.
