BOARD OF ASSESSMENT APPEALS
Any property owner desiring to appeal the assessment on the October 1, 2011 grand list must file a written application by February 20, 2012 according to state law. If an application is not filed by that date the Board of Assessment Appeals cannot hear the appeal. All meetings with the board are scheduled through the Assessor's office. You must have an appointment and the board is not empowered by state law to hear appeals from people who show up without and appointment.
